25th EANS Summer Conference

Published on February 2, 2024

The 25th EANS Summer Conference will be hosted by the University of Torino on 3-4 July 2024. This will be the first Summer Conference to take place in Italy. To celebrate the silver wedding of EANS, come and join us to discuss the conference theme “Past, present, and future of nursing science in Europe”. What are the particular insights of the history of Nursing, and what is its significance today? The past has shaped what nursing science is and developed current research areas, methodologies, and education. In addition, what is happening now will establish new areas of nursing.

This year the topic is particularly timely and crucial due to the events that have challenged the world shattering established equilibria. The conference will focus on the history of nursing and on how what we have learnt from previous experience has modified nursing. Also, the conference topic will cover the most up to date progress in nursing interventions, while the future will be designed with presentations on the new horizons of nursing and new research and educational approaches.

The conference will be a hybrid event and, therefore, attendance may be in person at the University of Torino or virtually by Webex. The conference is free for EANS members. Not EANS members will be asked to pay 25€ for online and 45€ for on-site attendance. Due to the limited number of spaces on-site, the rule first-come will apply – therefore don’t hesitate to register as soon as possible. Registration is open on the EANS website at the following link

The call for abstracts is now open and will close on April 15, 2024. Submitted abstracts, reviewed by the Scientific Committee, could be selected for oral and poster presentations that address the conference theme. Selected abstracts will be communicated by May 10, 2024. Students participating in the Summer School could not be presenting author of an abstract.
