Call for Summer School students 2026

We are happy to announce the next call for Summer School applications!

The EANS Summer School 2026 will be held by OST- Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Science, in the Metropolitan City of St. Gallen, Switzerland, from June 29th, 2026, to July 10th, 2026.

Each year, a maximum of 35 PhD students from various European universities are accepted for participation in EANS’ three-year summer school programme, which includes two weeks of teaching in the first year and one week in each of the following years).

The summer school is:

●        a unique opportunity for nurses undertaking doctoral studies to participate in a three-year programme of annual summer schools;

●        a chance to learn about various research methods with the aim to develop, test, evaluate and implement complex interventions in nursing;

●        an experience of working together with early career nursing researchers from more than 20 European countries.

Current EANS students describe their most important summer school impact as a mixture of learning advanced research methods, gaining a powerful research network, making new friends, preparing for future European collaborations and improving their international orientation and English language skills. Please encourage a promising nurse or midwife with a strong vision, who is in the first half of a PhD trajectory at a European university to apply.
